Hope begins with a meal…& can end with a solution

STEELBRIDGE is not a soup kitchen, nor is it a homeless shelter. It’s a Transformation Center. Help us make a difference by donating today.

Did you know? Albuquerque Rescue Mission, now known as Steelbridge, traces its roots back to 1954 when it was originally founded as Albuquerque Gospel Mission. Arthur Fleischer and his wife, inspired by their experiences at the Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago, moved to Albuquerque to start this mission of compassion. The original site on First Street provided shelter, food, clothing, and ministry to those in need.

Growing Steelbridge Ministries for Tomorrow.

Since our beginning in 1954, Steelbridge has tirelessly pursued its mission to aid the disadvantaged in our community. Our commitment to providing food, clothing, services, and resources free of charge has flourished.

With our partner, FreeWill, you can easily create a will for free to protect the people close to your heart and help those in need in our community.

Steelbridge is transforming lives through the power of God’s love--the only lasting solution to the complex problems among the Samaritans in our community. Problems like homelessness, poverty, addiction, human trafficking, abuse and other trauma.

It is the generosity of people who share a heart for our neighbors who desperately need help that make the ministry of Steelbridge possible.

Thank you for your generous and kind-hearted act of giving.

THANK YOU!

Programs

“Our mission is to provide life-transforming solutions to break the cycles of poverty, addiction, and trauma.”

In the past five decades, thousands of people with nowhere else to turn have passed through the doors of STEELBRIDGE for a hot meal or other services. In those past fifty years, we have evolved from a simple soup kitchen to a center that provides hope.

Hope of a true and lasting life change. We offer an environment that reflects God’s love for all people and respects their dignity. Not only do we provide shelter, a comfortable bed, food, and clothing, but also spiritual guidance and social services. All of these services are provided at no cost to the resident

“Steelbridge has taken me off the street and given me a sense of worth and structure in my life. This is for the one who donates to the program that has saved my life, taken me off the street, given me a sense of worth, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ again. Thank you.”
