WHAT WE DO

At Steelbridge, the focus on spiritual growth and Biblical principles provides a unique and powerful approach to recovery. By fostering a connection with God, individuals build inner strength and resilience, helping them overcome addiction, homelessness, trauma, and life's challenges. Through a comprehensive program that incorporates counseling, behavioral health services, spiritual guidance, life skills, job skills, and financial planning, Steelbridge offers tailored solutions for those facing difficult circumstances—including victims of human trafficking and youth aging out of foster care. This holistic approach leads to long-term recovery, stability, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Our Programs

Men & Women’s Programs

Our Men and Women’s 12-month residential Recovery Programs are designed to help men and women develop skills to overcome difficult life issues and recover from cycles of poverty, drug and alcohol addictions, depression, domestic abuse, and trauma. The programs are structured to eliminate distractions so that individuals can focus on building a solid foundation to rebuild their lives. Daily meals, housing, education, spiritual guidance, therapeutical counseling, job skills, job placement and so much more are provided free of charge.

Youth Transitioning Out of Foster Care Program

Statistics show that approximately 20% of youth who age out of Foster Care end up homeless within the first two years. To help youths who have transitioned out of the foster care system and have no place to go, our 12-month residential program supports young adults (ages 18-24) by providing them with meals, housing, resources for educational learning, life skills, spiritual guidance, job training, along with a supportive community. All is provided free of charge.

Human Trafficking

Steelbridge actively collaborates with Human Trafficking organizations across the nation to ensure the safe placement of victims and survivors. We work to expand our outreach to assist the homeless population in Albuquerque, Steelbridge maintains a vigilant stance in identifying and aiding potential victims of Human Trafficking. This insidious crime affects more than 25 million lives globally. You can play a pivotal role in combating Human Trafficking by supporting Steelbridge in our crucial mission.

Transforming lives, transforming our city

Steelbridge offers a program that incorporates counseling, behavioral health services, spiritual guidance, life skills, job skills, financial planning, and other solutions to help individuals going through addiction, homelessness, trauma, human trafficking, and youths aging out of foster care.

We invite you.

We invite you to take a look behind the scenes and catch a glimpse of a day in the life of one of our women residents.  As a mother, daughter, and sister, she is experiencing a genuine life transformation since coming to Steelbridge.

Herberta's story is an example of how the power of God's love can transform the lives of hundreds of people who come to Steelbridge seeking care.

Our Services

  • A New Hope for NM Families

We’re renovating the original Rescue Mission facility where it all started back in 1954. Steelbridge currently has two main facilities for its residents. One for men and one for women. With a newly renovated facility in between them, for the first time ever, we will have a space to offer family services. The building has been vacant for over 10 years and reconstruction is already underway!

  • Food Boxes

We will be disturbing non-perishable food boxes for low-income families from 8 am - 4 pm on Monday - Thursday.

Join us! at our Resource Center located at:

2021 SECOND STREET NW | ALBUQUERQUE, NM 87102

GOD’S LOVE

At the heart of Steelbridge’s mission is the belief that true healing and recovery come from a relationship with God. By introducing participants to the teachings of the Bible and offering spiritual support, Steelbridge provides hope and a path to redemption. This faith-based approach empowers individuals to overcome their past and build a future filled with purpose and meaning. In addition to spiritual guidance, Steelbridge offers a comprehensive program that includes counseling, behavioral health services, life skills, job skills, financial planning, and tailored solutions for those facing addiction, homelessness, trauma, human trafficking, and youth aging out of foster care.

It is the generosity of people who share a heart for our neighbors who desperately need help that make the ministry of Steelbridge possible.

Thank you for your generous and kind-hearted act of giving.
